Pula-based agency Extremesurvive has come up with an original recipe for enhancing the tourist offer, and so far, it's going quite well. Surviving in the wilderness of Istria - the new tourist sensation. In this course, there are no sleeping bags or tents. Teeth are brushed with charcoal, and drinking water is sourced from nature and boiled, says Boris Stermotic, the wilderness survival instructor.

Fall brings the harvest of fruits on most perennial plants such as apples, pears, plums, grapes... Similarly, during autumn, the majority of deciduous trees will shed their leaves. Additionally, during fall, animals that hibernate will complete their accumulation of fat reserves and food supplies that will enable them to survive the winter.

Four members of the Croatian School of Extreme Survival and three members of the Italian Team Survive have turned their idea of surviving on an uninhabited island into a true expedition this summer, pushing their physical and mental limits of endurance.
Organizer Boris Stermotich recommends that children who love adventure and nature, who want to understand how to navigate in the wilderness, build shelters, start fires, climb ropes, track animal footprints, use knives, learn about traps, medicinal and useful plants, should join ASAP to outdoor education.
A NEW FORM OF NATURE SCHOOL, Survival Adventure for students, is being offered to schools and sports clubs. In collaboration with the Mountaineering Society Glas Istre, we would use their base camp at Korita. We are currently finalizing the program with around 20 students from Zadar who will arrive in spring, and we are also preparing a contract with Slovenian participants. However, I would like to engage schools, clubs, and institutions from Istria as well," stated Boris Stermotic.
